LATHAM, N.Y. -- More members from the New York National Guard made it home just in time for Christmas.
10 soldiers were welcomed with open arms by friends and families on Christmas Eve. The members from the 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team arrived in Latham late Monday night. Most of them have spent the past year in Kuwait doing logistics and administrative duties, and conducting security missions.
For many of the members and their loved ones, it's the perfect timing for a reunion.
About 100 members of the New York National Guard around the state are returning home. A couple hundred soldiers are still overseas, but officials say they should be coming home within the next few weeks.
